Program Description

Event Details

Please join us via Zoom as The Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay will discuss natural shorelines and the importance of vegetation around our lakes and streams.

As development pressure increases in our region, we are seeing our healthy, vegetated shorelines along lakes and streams disappear. Vegetation at the land-water interface along waterways and waterbodies play an important role in preserving water quality and providing habitat for a variety of species. During this presentation, learn more about the importance of shoreline vegetation and how The Watershed Center works with communities, developers, and property owners to protect our natural shorelines.

Please register HERE via Zoom to watch at home or join us in the McGuire Community Room to also watch via Zoom--the presenter will be remote.

**Mark your calendar for another program with The Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay on Stormwater, July 14.
